I had an opportunity to attend the last Meet Up and enjoyed the opportunity to meet the diverse background of developers. I specialize in the placement of .NET developers on both a full and contract basis, and look forward to the opportunity to meet all those present and discuss the job opportunities I have available to them.

I am a Perl recruiter and I am looking to meet Perl job seekers and other recruiters

Who attended?

    •  It was a good mix of Job recruiters from companies and job recruiters from recruitment agencies.
    •  I unavoidably arrived late, so sadly I missed out on the introductions. However, I met a recruiter named Evelyn, got re-acquainted with a recruiter named Dan, met a contractor or recruiter named Uri who specifically needs Perl developers, and chatted with a fellow Job Seeker named Cory. The meeting definitely had a positive energy and a sense of transaction, things happening.
    •  A great meeting for me. Interesting conversations, interesting people and some job leads from good recruiters.
    •  I had a great time, plenty of people showed up and I had great discussion, whether it be on UNIX vs Windows boxes, or using the Wii Remote to set up a low cost touch screen for your computer. I also met some great recruiters and started to feel more confident about my future. Thanks guys!
    •  As an IT recruiter, it is always great to network with people. I'm hoping to find more IT people to fill my positions. I'm always looking for good Java, .Net and other IT people in the field. This is a good place to do that. I hope that more job seekers would come to these types of meeting. You'll never know what opportunities come up.
    •  This was a good experience because I met a senior programmer and was able to gauge my abilities and find an avenue to grow my programming skill.
