The Black Rock Employment Networking Group (BRENG) is a non-denominational Christian faith based program that meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month at Black Rock Church in Fairfield at 7pm. Men & women from all religious, professional and cultural backgrounds are welcome to attend.

The mission of the group is to offer men and women an encouraging and supportive meeting environment in which to address topics relating to job search strategies, career transition, employment enhancement and the emotional impact of change on individuals and families during employment transition.

We strive to provide networking opportunities, skills enrichment, job lead exchange and educational support. The BRENG hosts an "Expert Speaker Series" in which guest speakers address the group about relevant topics associated with the networking and employment campaign process.

There is no direct solicitation of affiliation, membership, employment or multi-level marketing allowed by attendees (please read our strictly enforced marketing and solicitation policy). The group supports and serves individuals from communities in Fairfield and New Haven counties and is supported by the Leadership and Pastoral staff of Black Rock Congregational Church. If you would like to know more about the Black Rock Employment Networking Group or Black Rock Congregational Church please contact the church office (203) 255-3401 or Contact Tony Palomba tpalomba@soundviewfa.com

Please take a moment to read BRENG’s enforced business marketing and solicitation policy below. We have recently had several visitors attempt to market their products and services to our guests. Although there are other groups that provide for this kind of marketing and business development forum, BRENG does not. Our employment seeking guests should know that they are in a safe environment with other like-minded individuals, all in search of gainful employment opportunities. If you feel “marketed to” please seek out one of the BRENG leaders

BRENG MARKETING & SOLICITATION POLICY:

* THERE IS NO SOLICITATION OF AFFILIATION, MEMBERSHIP, PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION, SERVICES, EMPLOYMENT OR MULTI-LEVEL MARKETING ALLOWED*

* BRENG IS OFFERED ONLY TO MEN & WOMEN WHO ARE IN EMPLOYMENT TRANSITION.

* INDIVIDUALS ATTEMPTING TO MARKET OR SOLICIT PRODUCTS OR SERVICES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. THESE RULES ARE IN PLACE TO PROTECT THOSE WE SERVE AND NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

What members are saying

If all the meetings are like this one it is an excellent venue to network, learn and make new friends.

Others should join simply to get contacts for industries of interest. Most importantly the encouragement of others is vital in this tough time.
